  1. GOAL

Besides compliance with the rules and regulations around Covid-19 and WorksafeBC, the goal of this plan is to keep communities, clients and employees, safe and healthy, and to eliminate the risk of exposure to COVID-19 during operations. British Columbia Health Authority (BCHO) and WorkSafeBC guidelines have been relied upon to establish procedures intended to keep everyone safe during these “unusual” times.

Cliff’s Chinook Charters is committed to following these rules and guidelines.

At this current time during June we are promoting Staycation and have deals for locals only, as BC goes to Stage 3 hopefully we can accommodate those outside BC residents of Canada. 

  1. ADVANCE PREPARATION

Please plan for your trip well in advance. Think through what you need to bring and shopping for gear or other items should take place in your home community. Ensure you have enough personal items for the duration of the trip. 

Facemasks : Please bring face coverings and wear them whenever you are in proximity to others who do not share your arriving Travel Pod. These must be worn by all occupants in the vessel.

While it is discouraged, if you do need to stop for any reason while travelling to your destination you must adhere to BCHO guidelines and please use a face covering. Sanitize or wash your hands prior to entering and after leaving a business. 

Hand Sanitizer – Please have personal hand sanitizer with you in advance of your trip. While we have it aboard, it is important before you board to have sanitized your hands.

  1. 48 HOUR PRE ARRIVAL ONLINE HEALTH CHECK IN – If you are ill, please don’t come. Instead, give us a call, we will miss you, but rest assured that CCCharters will help you defer your trip to another time, a safer time. 
  1. MARINA ARRIVAL INSTRUCTIONS

Please call your guide or myself when you arrive at the parking lot, he will come a meet you when he is ready. Your guide will meet you at the gate to the Comox Municipal Marina. Our vessel is in Slip B1. We will find you… 

Please sanitize your hands upon getting out of your vehicle.
At the dock your guide will provide a welcome briefing Includes:

Please have your printed (not on phone) fishing license handy as well for inspection

  1. WHAT WE ARE DOING BEFORE AND WHILE YOU ARE ENJOYING YOUR TRIP

Post Trip Boat Sanitization – After Every trip the boat and its equipment is cleaned and sanitized

During the Trip – Between uses of equipment, the rods and reels will be wiped down and high touch point areas cleaned. There will be hand cleaner beside the Head.  You will be able to maintain a 2 Metre distance. If you are required to be closer than that the guide and guests will dawn a Mask.

Crew Health Checks – Our crew health is monitored, reported and tracked so you can be confident that we are doing our part.

Post Trip Guest Health Check in – Please feel free to leave a review online after your trip and that our safety measures are complied with.
